I was looking for cake -- where did they go?? -- If you read the story of how Amy's came to be, you will see that our business first began as a "cakery." In May 2008, after difficult contemplation and prayer, Amy's decided to no longer take wedding and specialty cake orders. As the confection line had grown tremendously and our retail locations quickly expanded, it became obvious that Amy's focus would soon have to shift to the confection-side of the business.
I already have an order for a cake -- With a packed cake schedule for 2008 and 2009, all prior cake orders will be filled as ordered. As of May 2008, no future orders will be taken.
About Amy's
Amy's Confection Company is a family owned and operated cake and candy business in the heart of North Carolina. What began as a hobby in Amy's home kitchen quickly blossomed into a booming business with many dedicated clients.
In 2005, Amy's proudly introduced the Carolina Cake Truffle line, which has expanded over the last several years.

About Mr. Amy
(AKA Jonathan)
The absolute best thing that ever happened to Amy's Confection Company (and Amy!) was Amy's marriage to Jonathan Burns in 2006. He immediately became not only her partner in life, but also her business partner. After a couple of years of helping set up wedding cakes, making deliveries, washing dishes, and doing anything else he could to help out, Jonathan decided he wanted his own "division!"
With Jonathan's love of cooking and after growing up in a North Carolina BBQ restaurant, he wanted a line of dips and spices to make everyday cooking, grilling, and entertaining a little bit easier. So, in 2008, Mr. Amy's Gourmet Dips & Spices was born! The line features easy to make savory, dessert, and olive oil dips that can be used alone or in your favorite dishes!
What is the name Mr. Amy all about?
Jonathan always accompanied Amy to dessert caterings, weddings, galas, and any other public event where Amy was serving cake, dessert, or chocolates, as well to craft fairs across North Carolina. It never failed that at each event someone would ask if he was "Mr. Amy." Eventually, he gave in and began introducing himself as Mr. Amy. When the time came to name his line, the first thing that came to mind was what his "fans" know him by...Mr. Amy!
